I’m Michelle, a newborn and family photographer in Nottingham, specialising in natural, baby-led photography from my cosy home studio in Newthorpe (NG16).
What I love most about newborn photography is capturing the little things parents don’t realise they’ll miss one day — tiny fingers wrapped around yours, sleepy cuddles and the connection that exists in those early days.
Your baby’s comfort and safety will always be my priority, with plenty of time for feeding, cuddles and breaks throughout your session

WHY I BECAME A NEWBORN AND FAMILY PHOTOGRAPHER
Photography has always been a huge part of my life. Ever since I can remember, I've always had a camera in my hand, capturing holidays. This turned into studying photography at A level, but my passion stopped from there for many years.
Until I turned 30 and I realised I wanted to turn something I truly loved into a career—something that allowed me to be creative while making a real difference to other people's lives. That's when MGS Photography was born.
There's something incredibly special about preserving memories that can never be recreated. Tiny newborn fingers, the way your baby fits perfectly in your arms, or the giggles and cuddles shared as a family—these are the moments that pass by far too quickly.
Being trusted to capture those memories is a privilege I'll never take for granted. My goal is to create beautiful, natural photographs that tell your family's story and become treasured keepsakes for years to come.

My Studio
Step inside my cosy home studio, thoughtfully designed to feel warm, calm and inviting — so when you arrive for your session, you can settle in, relax and feel completely at ease.
Based in Newthorpe (NG16), Nottingham, my studio has been created with new mums and families in mind. I know how those early days with a newborn can feel, which is why everything is kept simple, comfortable and unhurried.
The space is styled in soft, neutral tones with gentle natural light, creating the perfect environment for timeless, natural photographs. It’s a quiet, peaceful setting where your baby can feel settled, and you can take a moment to slow down and simply enjoy being together.
Everything is prepared for you ahead of your session — from wraps and blankets to a small, thoughtfully curated wardrobe — so you don’t need to worry about bringing anything complicated with you.
My sessions are completely baby-led, meaning there’s plenty of time for feeding, cuddles and breaks whenever needed. There’s no rush, no pressure — just a calm, supportive space where you and your baby are always the priority.
Many families tell me that their time in the studio feels like a little pause from the outside world — a chance to relax, connect and create something truly special.
